We recently fitted a full 11.5 m by 5 m lounge, including a landing and stairs. The project presented an awkward step that could have slowed progress, but we adapted our approach to complete the carpet installation in two days with minimal disruption. The client was thrilled with the final finish.

Wow — what a transformation with this European engineered oak. It has completely elevated this home.

This project involved a full uplift and disposal of the old flooring, removal of skirting boards, and thorough subfloor preparation. The engineered oak was then fully bonded to the subfloor and finished with solid oak skirting boards to match.

A huge amount of work went in from the team, but as always, the results speak for themselves.

Subfloor preparation matters a lot.

This job is a perfect example of why subfloor preparation should never be skipped. Unfortunately for our clients, this floor lasted just 24 months.

As you can see from the photos, the previous contractor carried out no preparation and made no attempt to remove contamination before applying the smoothing compound. To make matters worse, the floor wasn’t even primed — which is frankly inexcusable.

This is exactly why we’ve invested thousands in the correct machinery and systems to ensure this never happens on our projects. Proper preparation isn’t optional; it’s essential for a floor that lasts.

Choose your contractor wisely.
The cheapest option is rarely the best in the long run.
