We are a family run delivery and catering service for Yorkshire pudding wraps. We have been making Yorkshire pudding wraps in our family for years, and we watched with great anticipation as they recently became a national phenomenon.
We decided we needed to find a way to distribute our tasty version or this great Yorkshire staple. An opportunity to do so arose after we moved house. Instead of selling or renting our old house out, we converted the kitchen into a catering kitchen capable of running a café from, thus becoming a ‘Virtual Kitchen’ with no walk in trade. After joining The Nationwide Caterers Association (NCASS) who helped us with all the information we would need to get started, we passed all our health and safety exams and were ready to go.
The first year we spent cutting our teeth in the industry, while still working our other jobs and looking after a beautiful daughter. At times this really took its toll on everyone, but we stuck at it as it was something we all enjoyed doing.
The second year, we were introduced to social media marketing. Where our service has been very well received. This has helped us grow our business and liaise with all of our customers in a way that wouldn’t have been possible 10-15 years ago. We still work our other jobs, which is why we are only open Fridays and Sundays, and we are obviously still looking after our daughter, who is growing up faster than our business!!
