M O N O L I T H

I've finished hand building the Thing 2.0 or as I call it, the monolith. I wish I could say there was some sort of plan or meaning behind it but I just went along there was some ride and see where this piece would take me. All I knew was that I wanted to make something wide but narrow and tall. So here it is.

Can't wait to see it fire, it should turn into this deep vibrant red orangey colour.

T H A N K Y O U

Just a quick message today to say a massive thank you to everyone who ordered something from my shop update last week. I've spent the weekend packing all your lovely orders and got in touch with everyone that wanted to come and pick their orders directly fron my studio.

It's been nice to chat with all of you in person and to say thank you face to face.

If you wanted something from my shop, there's still plenty of pieces left for you to get a grab of whether its for yourself or a gift.

Now that the big rush is over, I'm back in the studio having some fun handbuilding something that will most likely end up being The Thing no.2. Nonetheless, I always enjoy the quiet time after a little shop update, using that time to create something that's completely out of the ordinary for my and my little business.

My first canadian shop update is now officially open and live. I hope you'll truly enjoy this new little website (let's all remember that someone stole my old domain to sell online casino chip while impersonating my business 🙄) and that you'll enjoy the few pieces that i've made.

N O O D L E B O W L S 🍜

I've just finished unloading my last firing before the shop update, which contained the last remaining ramen bowls and some of the swirly pasta bowls too alongside a few norii mugs that couldn't all fit in the previous firing.

The new glazes are behaving incredibly well which makes me really really happy.

Now the only thing left to do is to sand down the base of all those pots and finish setting up my website which i've been procrastinating for a while now. I might also have to retake a few pictures since i'm not happy with all of them.

Nonetheless, we're still on for June 11th 12pm (EST), it just means less sleep and more work for me. 🫡❤️

C U P S

The norii mugs aren't the only cups and mugs that will be appearing on my next shop update. Alongside various other items (some requested many times like the ramen bowls), you'll be able to find those small coffee cups which are ideal for latte art since they have a roundish base on the inside.

Over the next few days i'll be showing you some more work I've been making and that will be available on my website on June 11th 12pm (EST).

I'm hoping that this shop update will go well since it's my first one in a very very very long time and the first one i'll be making since moving back to Canada.

I'll be shipping across Canada and internationally as well. If anyone has experience regarding shipping to the USA with those new tariffs, any advice will be welcome.

N O R I I M U G S

They're back! I promised myself I that I wouldn't make any norii mugs ever again, mostly because I made so many in the past and that I was bored of making them but a two years break reignited the flame to revisit some older designs.

The glaze is a little bit different when compared to the OG ones but it's all part of the magic. With that being said, I'm happy to announce that my first shop update in over two years will be on ;

June 11th 12pm EST (5pm UK time)

I have plenty of things left to do until then like finishing my new website, editing all the photos, sorting out the shipping situation with the tariffs... but i'm excited to make my comeback finally.

Stay tuned during the next few weeks as I'll be coming out of hibernation and post a bunch of new stuff on my page.

The last few months have been on ups and downs with my studio time. My day job took a lot of my time and energy which made me stay away from clay. I've recently changed role and reduced my hours so I could kick start things again with Faulty Stone (for real this time!! I know, I've been saying it for over a year now but a shop update is coming one day soon!)

Over the last few weeks I've been quite productive with making flat white mugs, noodle bowls, norii mugs and most recently (like as of yesterday) those tulips bowl. Few months ago while throwing a batch of noodle bowls, I messed one up and it ended up with flared edges which I initially HATED.

I guess a voice deep down said something because I decided to keep it and fire it anyway. I brought it home and it's now one of my favourite bowl to eat at home.

It's a new shape which means I've struggled with throwing them as if I had forgotten everything I knew. The few that I've made are definitely some sort of relatives but definitely not twins 👯‍♀️

I'm not sure I should call them tulip bowls though... so if you guys have anything better for a name, i'll take it!
