No Shortcuts - Nuts
At .uk, I always use whole kernels and grind them fresh for our Baklawa, Muhammara, Pistachio Tiramisu, and many other dishes.
Pre-ground nuts lose much of their natural aroma, flavour, and freshness. The nuts used in pre-ground products are often not of the same quality as carefully selected whole kernels, either.
Buying whole kernels can cost significantly more, and grinding them fresh takes extra time and effort. But for me, it’s worth it every single time.
The difference in taste, texture, and overall quality is unmistakable — and that’s why I never take shortcuts when it comes to ingredients.
Because great food starts with great ingredients. 💚
