Here at The Light Yard, we are a passionate team who strive to bring your design dreams to life with a hand selected range of indoor and lighting fixtures.

The Light Yard was born out of a desire to collaborate with some of the world's best and most talented designers of handcrafted and bespoke lighting. While living in the Provence region of France for nearly 10 years I became inspired by colours and textures of the natural landscape. The result is a unique collection of bespoke and handcrafted lighting made by independent designers and manufacturer

We are situated in the north west of England and our range of modern, contemporary and urban lighting will in time feature the very best lighting designers from not only the UK but also award winning designers from around the world. Our newly opened The Light Yard Online is very proud to introduce its very first range of indoor and outdoor lighting from UK based designer Gwyn Carless. His creations of exquisite laminated glass lighting bring elegance and style to any residential or commercial project. At The Light Yard we are passionate about what we do and we strive to be more than just another lighting supplier. We aim to solve problems and find solutions.....together

Our Story

Founded by Jeff Fuller in 2013 with the vision of offering tailor made and high end indoor and outdoor lighting that portrays unique and hand crafted lighting design, The Light Yard is an independent lighting supplier providing a carefully selected collection of handcrafted and bespoke lighting solutions.

Manchester is arguably becoming the creative powerhouse of the UK and our new showroom which is within the grade II listed Cotton Mill has been designed to be completely original and unique.

Located on the north bank of the Bridgewater Canal, we`re right in the heart of the North West of England and just a short trip from both Manchester and Liverpool.

Now in its fifth year, The Light Yard was initially establishing as an online business offering British tailor-made high end lighting. Built on solid working relationships with lighting designers, we have rapidly gone from strength to strength and is testament to not only our vision for beautiful handcrafted lighting but also to our artisan’s expertise, attention to detail and skilful designs. “I want people to visit our website or come to see us and to feel inspired.
