Julie Williamson Designs Contemporary textile art, inspired by Shetland’s heritage and natural beauty. Handmade art for homes full of meaning.

Every piece tells a story, from Fair Isle patterns to coastal inspired designs, hand crafted with heart, tradition, and a modern twist. Textile designer living and working in Whalsay Shetland. Graduated in 2009 from Shetland College with a degree in Contemporary Textiles, before graduating with honours degree in Design for Textiles from Heriot-Watt School of Textiles in 2011. Specialising in illustrated designs for interiors. Inspired by nostalgic story’s from my Shetland home heritage.

Starting off Septembers collection is ‘Aff At Da Eela’ this is the story behind the design…
Inspired by our local eela competition, when you go off in your peerie (small) boats to see who can catch the most fish, the one time I was in the competition I only caught 1 fish and got the boobie prize haha.

One new limited design collection each month.

Then design goes in my archive and any unsold stock goes out to stockist.
