I create limited edition prints using dry point etching and chine colle (collaging found papers) inspired by the beautiful Sussex surroundings.

I have been illustrating and drawing for a number of years, but a year or so ago I discovered the magic of printmaking at The Paddock Arts Studio in Lewes. I started to delve into the world of dry point printmaking and have been trying to capture the beauty of my Sussex surroundings and images from my travels through print work. My prints are available to buy framed and mounted. I have been patiently waiting all summer for my Hopi sunflower to grow, which grew to the size of a giant?! (lovingly delivered as a small plant by PIGMENT Organic Dyes CIC) and today I harvested and turned the seeds into ink and tested with different home made modifiers.. and the patience paid off.. look at those colours! 💥 💪 🌱 I honestly am in total awe of this process.. ☺️

I have several different flowers growing that I can’t wait to test out too 🙌 👀 🌱

All set up and open today Leigh Hodgkinson house (number 74) full of fabulous art work to peruse and be inspired by! Sooo many colours to cheer up the grey morning.. do come by if you’re in the area.. 66 Highdown Road Lewes 11-5 today and tomorrow. It was super lovely to be asked if my etching could make front page spread this month on the fabulous, and very informative of all things Lewes, magazine.. and most importantly because it’s promoting this years event hosted by the incredible creative force Leigh Hodgkins Leigh Hodgkinson at 66 HighDown Road on the Neville estate (venue 74).. there will be an array of different beautiful art to peruse whilst also the opportunity to check out Leigh’s insanely beautiful garden 🌳 🌳 so do come down to check it out 👀 over the next two weekends 11-5pm..

Woah what an absolute belter of a couple of months.. not sure I can say more than the photos.. but it’s been full of everything ❤️ 🌊 ☀️ ✨ 💖 ⛰️ 🪨.. and the reason I’ve been very quiet on here!.. but there is something very exciting around the corner.. which I feel very lucky to be a part of!… 👀

I’ve had a busy few weeks getting my work together to put out into the world first at The Crypt Gallery with the lovely then at the fair and with for Brighton artists open houses.. but it’s all been worth the effort following the lovely responses to my work, so I just want to say a huge thankyou to everyone who’s visited, asked questions, shown genuine interest in my printmaking techniques and bought my work.. it brings me so much joy that my work is shown some love whether it’s through a sale, a lovely comment or interest in my style of printmaking.. it all means so much 🙏🏻

There’s been quite a lot of love for my latest piece.. shown here, which is one of my favourite pub walks in Lewes and fabulously run by my super clever friends Bethany and Steve 🙌 🍻 I highly recommend the walk and the pub!!
