🎂 It’s my birthday month, and my gift to you is a brand new workshop.

📣 Introducing my T Shirt Block Printing Workshop.

♻️ I’m a huge believer in reuse, recycle and relove, and I am a shameless repeater of my outfits.

👕 So, if you have a favourite T shirt that could do with a little love, why not give it a new lease of life?

🎨 Bring along a light coloured T shirt or cotton blouse and together we’ll transform it with traditional wooden blocks, colour and pattern into something new, personal and completely your own.

✅️ No previous experience needed. I’ll guide you through the whole process and provide all the painting and printing materials.

🗓 I have three dates available for 2027:

31 January, 11am to 1pm

27 February, 11am to 1pm

21 March, 11am to 1pm

All you need to bring is your T shirt or cotton blouse. I’ll provide everything else, including some light snacks, because I know creating is hungry work.

Come and relove something you already own and turn it into something you’ll be excited to wear again.

Thank you, LOCAL MAKERS MARKET , for the opportunity once again. It's always a pleasure to trade in Wanstead, meeting returning customers and new fans.

It was a beautiful sunny day.
I took daal Chawal and Ahmed Mix vegetable Achar for pack lunch
And then I treated myself with yummy cupcakes from Heron's Nest

I still remember my primary school art teacher introducing us to printing with a humble potato.

Little did I know that decades later I would be carving out a career as a textile designer, printing fabrics by hand using beautiful wooden blocks, and sharing this wonderful craft with others.

It's funny how one small lesson can quietly shape your future.

These are a few moments from my recent block printing workshops. A special thank you to Victoria, who kindly filmed this while I was printing alongside her son at my South Asian Heritage Month Pop-Up.

So many people enjoyed trying block printing during the taster sessions, and seeing their excitement reminded me why I love teaching this craft.

What a lovely way to say thank you to teachers who work incredibly hard all year round! Well done to their school management for organizing this treat
