See yer 2025 👋
A year of small biz highs, lows, lessons and far more squeezed in than I realised until I sat down to make this!! It’s been one of those years that looked fine from the outside, but came with its fair share of wobbles and self-doubt.
While the year started reasonably well, things shifted. Etsy changed, sales dipped harder than expected, and the wedding season never quite landed how I’d hoped it would. There were months where I was still making some beautiful orders (thank you forever to those customers!), but overall it felt like one step forward, two back… a strange place to be when you normally love what you do ❤️🩹
That said, there were ofc plenty of bright moments too! One of my best sales days ever after taking a chance running a payday sale, my first wedding fair, Christmas collection prep starting earlier than ever, wholesome Christmas markets… and *that* Etsy email!! Being asked to make a tree topper for the official TV Christmas ad campaign felt very surreal (and I did think it was a scam at first! 😂). In the end, it didn’t make the final cut, but even being asked was a real confidence boost in a tough year.
Looking back at everything packed into the final few months, it makes sense why I starting to feel burnt out… so Christmas became a proper pause. Pliers down (well, after I made our new tree topper 🖤🤍), time with family, and a reset!
More than anything though, I’m grateful. To every order, message, like and share - thank you for supporting my small business through a year that wasn’t always easy ♥️ And to the Wire Boutique ‘super fans’ - you know who you are - an extra special thank you 🌟
I’m heading into 2026 feeling focused and ready. Less scatter-gun, more intention. Big girl pants on.
