This is Karson...the proprietor of a Danish Hostel we stayed at recently..

The buffet breakfast was
Nutritious
Satisfying
Simple
Locally sourced

Karson's motivation is in the Bigger Picture for health...thinking about health, tackling waste, being a good steward of his purchasing...
"Thinking of economy and environment and getting people to think about what and how they eat".

We think he fits the Wonky Carrot ethos well...🥕😊

Watch out for news of cookery courses starting in Towyn and Colwyn Bay in October..encouraging all of these principles back home ..

We managed rocket, lettuce, tomatoes, courgette and runner beans in our garden...

Eating Disorders love to try and rob life..I was someone who fell in this trap years ago in my teens, and orthorexia ruled my life and behaviour for several years ( all beautifully masked by working as a dietitian!)
Now, I can eat what I want, am no longer plagued by food , calories, healthiness and weight.
Tastelife UK played a significant part in giving me language to express the hidden shame..
My faith played the biggest part in helping me towards food freedom.

Homemade Ramen..
A bit of leftover chicken and chicken stock with some chilli powder, hard boiled eggs, some spring onions, nigella seeds and sesame seeds....mixed with some noodles and home grown tomatoes and lettuce garnish.
Yum indeed!

For those who love their chia, turmeric and black pepper, go ahead and add them!

Being involved with this, seeing the young people enjoying food prep and cooking, serving, and sharing their excitement of how they grew the courgettes is such a wholesome thing.
Our courgette was not perfect, it was a bit round and wonky .
Did it matter?
Noooooo!!!
Locally grown with love and care...
