This season, chartreuse linens will bring a vibrant life to the duller days ahead. Paired with lightly patterned silks and velvets, the look feels both layered and refined. My clients at this project are keen art collectors, and it was important for them to add meaningful pieces to what they already possesed.

I provided them with my art consultation service in addition to their design package, and set about researching and sourcing pieces that I knew would resonate with them, as we’d had lots of communication about what they were looking for.

The result is a beautifully curated space, filled with an eclectic mix of well chosen and bespoke pieces - old and new - that now make up the story of their home.

My clients have a deep love and appreciation for all kinds of art in various forms and media. In addition to my design service, I provided them an art consultation, consisting of going through their already quite extensive collection, and talking about what each piece meant to them. I then went off and did hours of research to source additional pieces that spoke to them - their travels, aspirations, and lifestyle - to complete their spaces.

I’m really loving this ‘Dirty Red’ colour by .colours. In this tonal scheme, variations of pink, brown and green in a combination of textures are used to create a cosy yet fresh feel.

In a smaller space, you could really drench the room (i.e paint the walls, ceiling and woodwork in the same hue). If applying to a larger, brighter space, try using it on the walls only, whilst using a warm off-white for the ceiling and woodwork.

There’s a lot of conversation about hiding TVs in interiors. And I understand the appeal. But in a family space like this inviting snug I designed for my wonderful clients in South London, the TV kind of takes centre stage. This is where they gather for movie nights, sports matches and cosy evenings in. It’s a space designed for connection, comfort, and real life - where practicality meets considered design.
Because sometimes, a well-placed screen is part of the story a home tells.
