And I so needed it. Although I can’t completely switch off, as I’m still dealing with some unpleasantness related to the work I had done on the house, I’ll do my best to relax, recharge, and enjoy some much-needed time away. ✨

I can’t believe we’re already in August. I really had to scroll back through my photos to figure out where July went. Here’s a little recap of the month—the ups, the downs, and everything in between.

I love clothes, and as a Professional Organiser, having a wardrobe that works is essential

Gardening is not my forte, and I really have to force myself to do it. But once it’s done, it’s so rewarding.

This year has been challenging, to say the least. For a long time, I stopped caring for myself, and I didn’t like that version of me. So, in July, I made the decision to take back control. One small step at a time, I am choosing to prioritise myself again- and it feels good.

I feel incredibly lucky to be able to do a job that I truly love.

I know how lucky I am to have been able to make changes to my home, extending the kitchen and adding a bathroom. But the decision fatigue is real! It hasn’t been easy, especially when you are trying to make big decisions on a very tight budget.

😣🙄😭

DIY is definitely not my strength and I can’t say I am enjoying it! But when money is tight, you do what you have to do..

This is probably a story for another day, but the issues I’ve had and still have with the builders over the past months have been really upsetting. Maybe one day I’ll feel ready to share more.

Perimenopause and menopause are no joke. HRT has made such a positive impact on my symptoms, having to stop it for a few months feels really daunting. I am honestly feeling quite anxious about it.

Pet cupboard glow-up 🐾✨
When you love your pet so much that the first cupboard to be sorted it’s your dog’s one.

Now food spins on one lazy-susan and grooming + medical bits are living their best organised life on the other 🌀
Is your pet cupboard all nicely organised?

One of my role as a Professional Organiser is to remove the obstacles that stand between my clients and their goals.

You don’t always need a brand-new room or a complete house reshuffle to start a new hobby or exercise more. Sometimes a simple solution is enough.

This exercise basket blends beautifully with the living room décor while keeping everything needed for a workout within easy reach.

Fewer barriers = a greater chance of doing the thing you want to do.

That’s the theory behind my approach: make the desired action the easiest action.

We often tell ourselves:

“I’ll lose weight and fit into it again.”
“I spent so much money on it.”
“It reminds me of someone I love.”

These aren’t just excuses—they’re stories we tell ourselves because letting go can be emotionally difficult.

I’m not against keeping meaningful items. In fact, I believe some things deserve a place in our homes because they hold special memories.

But when those belongings begin to take over your home… when cupboards won’t close, rooms can’t be used as intended, and the clutter starts affecting your daily life, it’s worth asking a different question:

Is it really about the belongings? Or is it about what they represent?

As a Professional Organiser, I can help create systems, guide decisions, and transform spaces. But sometimes, the biggest obstacle isn’t organisation—it’s the emotions tied to our possessions.

And that’s okay.

Sometimes the most powerful progress comes from combining practical support with emotional support. Working with a therapist alongside a Professional Organiser can help you understand why it’s so hard to let go, making lasting change possible.

There is no shame in needing both. Looking after your home and looking after yourself often go hand in hand. ❤️

I’m such a sucker for small changes, especially after all our money went into the extension. This is something I’ve wanted to do for the longest time, and it finally happened.

All the products are from IKEA. 🤍
