Future-proof your renovation for kids. Planning how your home will function for children saves you from redoing it later. Three things to build in from the start:

1. A proper home for the pushchair
2. Space for baby plates, cutlery and cups, from weaning onwards
3. No open storage at toddler level!

Get these right and your home grows with your family. Save this for your renovation!

Home storage: 3 storage spots to get right. Good storage isn't always about having more space, it's about planning the areas you use every day, so everything has a home and stays there.

1. Coats and hats
2. Linens and bedding
3. The ironing board, hoover and other bulky bits

Plan for these early and the rest of the house stays much tidier.

Here are 3 simple rules for easy coffee table styling.

1. Height
2. Light
3. Trays!

Of course these styled spaces never stay that way for long but we have good intentions and they're easy to quickly clear up and make presentable again.
