Many shy away from dark colours in small rooms, fearing they might feel cold. But when balanced with natural light, they create a sense of depth, calm, and intimacy.

Design is where functionality and beauty must coexist.

In this study, we focused on making the room feel better to be in, rather than just bigger. By layering rich textures, we created a sanctuary that hugs you back after a busy day in London.

Good design isn’t always about visual impact. Sometimes, it’s about how quietly a space supports the way you live.

Sometimes, it’s the quieter details that define how a space feels.

In a bustling city like London, every square inch matters — but that doesn’t mean a home should ever feel compromised.

When we first saw this room, it was a simple, empty space with little sense of purpose.

Having lived in Tokyo, I’ve always been drawn to the art of small-space design — where thoughtful functionality meets quiet elegance.

What is now a calm, productive study by day effortlessly transforms into a welcoming guest bedroom by night, thanks to bespoke joinery, a Murphy bed, and carefully integrated storage.

By introducing black-framed glazing, layering rich, dark tones, and adding tactile fabrics, we created a space that feels intimate, warm, and filled with light — even in the heart of the city.

It’s not just about saving space.
It’s about elevating the way we live within it.

Small spaces demand the highest level of design discipline. In a bathroom like this, every millimetre matters—the clearances, the proportions, the way the light hits the fluted glass.

Nothing is left to chance. Our process is rooted in technical precision; we translate every design intent into detailed drawings for our craftsmen. It’s this level of coordination that ensures the final result feels effortless.

Happy New Year ✨

I spent my holidays in Barcelona, from Christmas through the New Year. Exploring the architecture of Antoni Gaudí was a profound experience.

It reminded me once again that nature holds the most perfect and harmonious forms of geometry.

Beyond the art, I also fully immersed myself in the vibrant flavours of Spanish cuisine.

Carrying these inspirations with me as I step into 2026.

あけましておめでとうございます。クリスマスから年末にかけてバルセロナに滞在しました。

ガウディの建築に触れ、彼が遺した「自然の中にこそ、究極の幾何学的調和がある」という言葉を、あらためて再確認した旅でした。

もちろん美味なスペイン料理もしっかりと堪能。

As the year comes to a close here in the UK, I’ve been reflecting on the quiet moments behind the work. ✨

Small details from past projects still remind me why I do what I do. It’s more than selecting a beautiful fabric or a piece of wood or stone; it’s about taking the time to care, adjust, and consider how a space should truly feel.

I’ve always believed that the most luxurious spaces are those that reflect a deep intention—where every texture is chosen to bring comfort and every light is placed to evoke a sense of peace. These “final touches” are where a house truly begins to exhale and become a home.

I’m so grateful for the clients I’ve worked with this year, and for everyone who has been part of this creative journey. Thank you for trusting me with your most personal visions.

イギリスでの2025年も、残りわずかとなりました。仕事納めにあたり、制作の裏側にある「静かな時間」に想いを馳せています。

Do you have a dog who always wants to be right by your side? 🐾

We’re still so fond of this custom-designed study we completed a while back — it came together beautifully! 💙 One of our client’s key requests was to include a cosy, stylish spot for their dog. What was once an awkward corner, created by a diagonal wall, became the perfect little dog den, seamlessly built into the custom desk unit. Now their four-legged friend can stay close in comfort while they work.

The rich, dark blue palette ties the irregularly shaped room together, creating a calm, focused space that feels both elegant and inviting. Every detail matters.

Before & After

This transformation is from a bathroom renovation project we completed a while ago.

Our client reached out wanting to create a calm and stylish sanctuary bathroom — especially for their two daughters, who both love spending time relaxing in the bath.

We also changed the layout slightly to use the space more efficiently, creating a design that feels open, functional, and beautifully balanced.

From a tired, dated space to a fresh, modern retreat — this makeover brought warmth, elegance, and a touch of luxury to their daily routine. ✨
