I can't believe it's been 3 years already and what a 3 years. So many knits, conversations, new friends, laughs, classes, events and a growing community of creative and lovely people.

What is your favourite memory over the last 3 years with KWM. We would love to hear about them all.

Also there has been a little discussion between us all about when our actual birthday is lol. We did a soft launch and opened our doors on 28th September 2023 that we didn't advertise, just to check the lights went on and the till worked. Then we had our main opening event on 30th September 2023. Not sure which should be our actual birthday day so we decided to celebrate today in-between the two. Which day do you think we should celebrate on?

We miraculously managed to get more mini and small Inkari Alpaca back in stock and they are going fast. That's because the minute you touch one you can't put it down. These sell out each year with limited availability and we completely understand why!

Over the past 7 years Inkari has created a community of over 100 families from Peru who work together to grow and improve all of the livelihoods inside the community including the animals and the farmers. Cinthia Vallet’s (FROM CINTHIA) knitted characters have undoubtedly become a phenomenon. What started with Myrtil the Bear has now grown into a joyful bunch of friends and two published books, Mouche & Friends (2023) and the soon to be released Chez Myrtil. Pre-orders are now available for her second book which is released on 25th September 2026

Making these little characters is about pausing, playing and creating something for the people we love. As Cinthia describes them in her first book, Mouche & Friends, they are little “love spreaders”.

What a crazy 4 weeks at Knit With Me on Richmond Hill in London. So much happening, lots of lovely new yarns and books and kits and goodies. These cable patterns are living rent free in my head right now. I am such a huge fan of cables and when in a chunkier yarn they knit up to give a really modern edge to such an incredibly historic technique. Which is your favourite?



1. The Edith Sweater by LE KNIT / Lene Holme Samsøe due to be released this Thursday, 10th September is a twist on a Guernsey Fisherman's vest with the braided cable pattern panel. With the info I can find so far it looks like a DK held with a lace mohair would work or a blown yarn like Snefnug on its own would be lovely. Looking forward to seeing more details.

2. Sandok Cable Sweater by Tuva Sandok is gloriously oversized with a huge funnel neck. LOVE. The pattern is currently going through an update process to add more sizes, improve charts and add optional bust shaping. Looking forward to seeing the update and recommending yarns.

3. The Rotate_Loop_Vest by Other Loops / Maja kløvdal is SO ME and is already availabe. Gorgeous layering piece and love the shaped shoulders. It would be lovely using CaMaRose.dk Snefnug held with a lace weight Silk Mohair like KNITTING FOR OLIVE soft silk mohair.

What a buzz this morning in Chiswick! An incredible 60 knitters and crochet peeps chatting, creating, inspiring and supporting each other. Just incredible! Super excited and proud about the community we have built around the Knit With Me Richmond shop and these monthly meet ups in Chiswick. Tickets now available for our September meet up on the website.

Not so much of a Friday Inspo LIVE, more of a Saturday Inspo not LIVE 🤣

See what I've brought with me to work on whilst away and what yarns and colours I've chosen to make them with. Need your input and suggestions of what to start with ... HELP. Not a usual Inspo LIVE but though it was on a similar thread lol so let me know in the comments what you think I should start with or what you are excited to see.

Richmond shop open as usual.with normal opening hours whist Graham and I take a wee break away thanks to Coral, Amelia, Mahwish and Chloe. Online orders going out as normal too.

This has been exactly what I needed over the past couple of days. But now I need help from you guys to decide what to do about the closure.

I've had a head cold and needed something to pass the time, wanted something straight forward, repetitive but engaging and wasn't a huge undertaking.

The Shell Bag by was perfect. The project only uses slip stitches, double crochets (UK Term) and link stitches for resolving the short rows, all of which are shown in some great linked videos from the pattern. I used ITO in colour 80. I used 100g for mine so that means I have enough to make another lol.

You can change the shape by adding more or less repeats to change the shape of the opening but know that this may change yarn requirements. I plan on attaching a leather strap to this but you could crochet a strap too like with the larger version.
