Take it from me,
me who made another human the center of her world,
Me who was a perfectly "I'm fine" woman.
Me, who was tired beyond words but saw rest as something I had to earn.
Me, who despite the pain & betrayal was more than willing to stay.
Until I had to wake up! And I did...
You've got this, yes, you will feel miserable through it all, you will have questions that may never be answered, you may not see the light at the end of the tunnel yet but it is there, if you keep going, I promise it is.

Which of these is a surprise for you?
In my case, I experienced some of these firsthand and boy has it been a journey.

1.Miss V starts to shrink. Yep! 😄 Funny but true apparently. Oestrogen decline causes vaginal tissue to thin, shorten, and lose elasticity. It's called vaginal atrophy.

2. Dryness arrives and brings pain with it. Obviously!!!
Natural lubrication reduces significantly after menopause and let's not start on the effect of this on intimacy with our partners.

3. Your pelvic floor quietly loses its grip.
Muscles that once supported your bladder, uterus, and sexual sensation begin to weaken. Thats why we are always using the lady's room more often 😅

4. Sensitivity changes and not always in the way you expect.
Some women feel less. Some feel more but differently in every woman.

5. Your skin loses collagen — including Miss V 😪
70% of skin collagen is lost in the first 5 years after menopause. That includes the delicate tissue of your intimate area. Firmness, suppleness, and texture all change.
