Owl Spaces for positive living. Owl was founded on the belief that design has the power to enhance your whole life.

Our aim is to create uplifting interiors that have a lasting positive impact on the people who inhabit them every day. Balancing form with function, we give spaces room to breathe so they work better and allow design details to shine. Drawing on a love of nature and craftsmanship, we enjoy working with fresh colour combinations, organic shapes, graphic patterns and natural materials to create interiors that instinctively feel good. The studio
Owl was established in 2014 by Sophie Van Winden and Simone Gordon, who came together through their shared love of joyful, daring design. Based in East London, the studio offers interior design, styling and consultancy across residential and commercial projects. Sustainability
We want to create spaces that last. Our interiors are designed to feel relevant today and tomorrow, made from high-quality materials that will stand the test of time. We also aim to reduce our environmental impact wherever possible. From non-toxic paint to repurposed furniture, we try and reduce, reuse and recycle at every stage of the design process.

Dramatic yet restful, the primary bathroom in our Victorian Villa project brings together an unusual but beautiful palette: soft-green Clayworks plaster on the walls, a powder-blue tub, yellow zellige tiles in the shower, and a custom vanity with a burgundy base and quartzite top. A series of arched openings - echoing the arches found throughout the house and in its architechture, connect the vanity, shower and bath.

Avocado green walls, a giant sofa and plenty of room to settle in. The basement library of our Victorian Villa project was designed for grown-ups to read in, family film nights and cosy evenings together.

COLOUR CHEMISTRY 🌈 Colour can completely change the way a space feels. It can add energy, make a room feel cosy or calm, highlight an architectural detail - or simply make you smile when you walk through the door.

A bespoke headboard in a bedroom of The Arc. We approached the interiors of this showhome with a simple goal: make them playful and engaging, whilst designing as sustainably as possible. We used local makers & artists, UK made products, vintage & repurposed furniture and recycled fabrics.

This bespoke sofa was designed specifically for the space it sits in and upholstered in two recycled fabrics, combining clever proportions with a little bit of fun.

We designed the interiors of the Arc show home to be playful and engaging, while making sure sustainability was at forefront of each decision.

Greenwich Terrace | A unique Grade II listed house (with not a single straight wall in sight!) In this small bathroom, we added a cosy bath tub and chose soft pastel tones. Japanese tiles form a gentle focal point above the sink, adding texture and character. 🀍
