Sunday Saves - 06 Ocean 🌊

We’re back in the ocean this week, to admire the fish and all their friends

I’m continuously blown away and inspired by all the beautiful patterns, shapes and colours in nature and this week I’ve been looking to the sea. Reinforcing the idea that a marine life inspired collection should be on the cards at some point

So here are this week’s saves and my ocean faves:

1. Cover image: Young Imperial Angelfish, photograph by Gene Wolfsheimer, 1959. From Living Fishes of the World by Earl S. Herald, 1961.
2. Golden Striped Soapfish, from Herbert R. Axelord’s 3. Salt-Water Aquarium Fish, 1963.
3. Some Snails of the Ocean, A. W. Mumford, 1902
4. Black and white seashell photo, via pinterest, original source unknown
5. Sea urchins via pinterest, original source unknown
6. Vintage Shell Print, Paul A. Robert, 1930’s
7. Shell illustrations from Index Testaceologicus by William Wood, 1825. Plate 37
