I have a passion for the sea. It's my happy place. This painting depicts man vs nature and the ideal of going back to basics. As overfishing becomes a problem is it possible to take a more sustainable approach? I love vivid colour and energy, and Van Gogh who's been an inspiration even since I was able to hold a paintbrush.
