It’s that time of year and my favourite flowers are appearing all around the house. Peony season is upon us!

A few little things I do to help them last beautifully:

• trim the stems at an angle
• remove any leaves below the water line
• refresh the water regularly
• and if the buds are still closed, a little warm water helps encourage them to open

I also always prefer arranging them loosely so they have space to unfurl naturally. The slightly undone look is part of the charm.

We’ve got some late peony blooms starting to appear in the garden this year too! I can’t wait for them to be ready to pick.

Our bathroom has always been bright and spacious, but it never felt that inviting.

Rather than breaking the bank and changing everything, I focused on adding softness and warmth through shape, texture, lighting and layered details to a new warm neutral base on the walls.

Contrasting darker touches through the bath and worktop helped ground the space and add a little more depth and character.

It’s now so warm and inviting and feels totally transformed with just these small tweaks.

Happy weekend x

When colour and pattern changes everything!

Swipe across to see a before of our living room. I love mixing scale in patterns (some large, some medium and small, keeps things balanced) alongside adding texture, velvets, wood, woven pieces softening everything. Don’t be afraid of clash, that’s often where the magic sits! I couldn’t resist adding a pic the gorgeous flowers at the Isabella plantation yesterday, reminded me of the sofa!

Happy Bank holiday!x

AD| A fresh layer for the garden, just in time for the warmer days ahead.

I’ve loved styling this corner with the Sierra set from a two seater sofa, two armchairs and a coffee table, all designed with those relaxed proportions that make it easy to settle in and stay awhile.

The aluminium frame paired with handwoven wicker brings a soft, natural texture, while the fabric has a subtle, tactile weave, comfortable and inviting but also durable enough for outdoor living.

I’ve kept the palette soft with neutrals, added in gentle rust tones, and layered with greenery from the garden to bring everything together.

A space that’s ready for morning coffee, slow afternoons, and easy evenings as summer begins to settle in!
