⁠The kitchen is the heart of the home. It's where meals are lovingly prepared, friends gather, homework is finished and stories are exchanged.⁠

⁠A kitchen refurbishment is a large undertaking because it disrupts the flow of the household for a while. It’s often a project that gets pushed back 'till later because we just can’t bear the thought of being displaced from our homes. If we choose to stay put and live through the work it can be painful to not have a kitchen even for just a few weeks. ⁠

⁠It’s probably the room that offers the most rewarding results though!⁠

The living room is one of the most well used rooms in our home, and it’s one of the spaces that designers are most frequently asked to help with. There’s a lot that goes into making a living room look and feel just right.

It is the room with most complexity in terms of co-ordinating materials. and there are a lot of individual pieces that have to come together to create a beautiful whole when the space is complete.

This can be particularly challenging when you try to incorporate items you already have and love, into a whole new scheme.

One of the last places homeowners put their attention to are the bedrooms, particularly the master bedroom. ⁠

Understandably, we want to finish our main entertaining areas so that we can open our doors to friends and family. Our kids’ spaces usually take priority after that and then, lastly, we turn our attention to our own bedroom. ⁠

Thank you to the lovely team at Visuable -especially Inka - who worked tirelessly on my branding and on the website design. They were brilliant and very patient with my perfectionist tendencies 😂🤣😂.
Thank you also to my personal branding photographer Sophie Carefull who was the loveliest person to spend the day with, and has set me up with enough photos to keep my mother happy for years! (... and, of course, to use all over insta!). Quite a feat to fit our session in, given the Covid restrictions.
