A Japandi-inspired home rooted in light, nature and calm 🍃💡

We are proud to introduce our latest project, a beautifully considered private home in London.

The Vision ✨

Working in collaboration with our good friends and colleagues at Cameron Peters, prior to their emigration to Australia, the lighting scheme was carefully curated to align seamlessly with our client’s overall vision;

‘a refined Japandi interior: calm, minimal, and uncluttered, yet warm, tactile and deeply connected to nature, with a biophilic approach.’

Bringing The Outside In 🍃

The home itself is already flooded with natural light and has expansive openings within the ground floor living area, framing views out to the garden. This strong connection to the outdoors set the tone for the lighting scheme, reinforcing the architectural and interior narrative throughout.

The Result💡

The final scheme is a cohesive, calming environment where lighting, architecture and materials work in harmony. Every fixture was selected not just for its aesthetic, but for how it contributes to the overall feeling of the space, one that is peaceful, elevated, and quietly luxurious. Thank you to our client for trusting us with this beautiful project.

Following on from last week’s Aldo Bernardi feature, we wanted to spotlight some of their outdoor favourites.

The unique aging process on these shades is what makes them so special; each one naturally patinas over time, adding character and depth to exterior schemes.

Alongside the aesthetic, they’re incredibly well considered for projects:
- Handmade in Italy
- Different sizes available
- Durable tempered glass
- No aged brass or aged copper shade finish is ever exactly the same due to the unique aging process that is hand-applied by skilled Italians

We’re currently using these across a number of international projects via Lightingspiration Europe.

Our clients love them for hospitality terraces, private villas and coastal projects where materials need to age beautifully over time.

❤️🇮🇹

Spectre at .london ✨💡

The beauty of Quasar’s Jan Pauwels collection is how it evolves from day to night, which is why it was so carefully considered for this unique project.

By day, Spectre is a delicate, sculptural centrepiece.
By night, it comes alive, enhancing the rich warm tones and spirit of CÉ LA VI.

Spectre anchors the room and is a statement piece that evolves, as the atmosphere shifts.

💡 Product Spotlight at .london

✨ Frame

The 111cm version of Frame in a warm 2400K was specified for the exclusive private event space on the 18th floor.

With 26 Frame fixtures carefully suspended at varying heights throughout the space, a constellation-like effect is created in the evening, bringing warmth and atmosphere, while by day, Frame is subtle and sculptural.

Great to be back in London last week visiting clients old and new, with lots of engaging conversations and a shared passion for decorative lighting. In an increasingly digital world, nothing quite replaces the value of face-to-face interaction.✨

Even more so in our industry, it’s important for designers to feel the quality of materials and craftsmanship in the pieces we offer.

A real highlight was visiting one of our recent projects .bromley and seeing the scheme come to life!

💡 One of the most common questions we’re now asked when lighting designers are specifying for hospitality projects is: “Is this available in a warmer colour temperature?”

Whilst 2700K–3000K are still specified, we’re increasingly seeing requests for 2200K and 2000K, driven by a desire for softer, more atmospheric spaces.

Our partners are renowned for their warmer colour temperatures from 1800K to 2500K that reflect natural, candlelight-like environments.

Barcarolle is their latest design which we debuted at on our booth. Inspired by historic European architecture, bridges, streetlights and other structures that stood the test of time, Barcarolle emits a light that is poetic in a warm 2000K, perfect for those intimate hospitality settings.

💡 Top tip: always check with us, even if a warmer colour temperature isn’t listed as standard, many of our brands can often achieve custom colour temperatures.

Taking a ‘Trip’ (or three!) to Jordan’s Dead Sea ✨

We are proud to unveil our latest project in the Middle East at Mövenpick Resort & Spa Dead Sea.

We recently had the opportunity to visit the region and experience the warmth of both the incredible Jordanian hospitality and the Trip portable lamps, first hand.

The renovation of the hotel’s main restaurant, ‘Al Saraya’ was driven by a desire to refresh the dining experience and better reflect the hotel’s wider design vision, including a renewed focus on atmosphere, flexibility and day-to-night dining.

Following consultations with Lightingspiration, interior designer Harry Gregory specified the Trip portable lamps, with Harry noting “the rich marble complements the interiors beautifully at night, adding a touch of luxury.”

80 x Trip lamps in Charcoal/Opal finish, now feature throughout the restaurant, with the hotel’s owners and operators Zara Investment Holding commenting ‘The new restaurant has become very attractive, and our guests truly love it.’

Our UK arm, Lightingspiration Ltd, worked locally with Harry on the specification, with our International arm, Lightingspiration Europe, facilitating supply/logistics with Zara, ensuring efficient delivery direct from Denmark to Middle East.
