We made these curtains for my parents back in 2016, when they first moved into their new McCarthy Stone retirement apartment in the Midlands. 10 years on and they have both sadly passed away and my brother and I have been sorting out the flat over the past 6 months. It has been a challenge for sure but we’ve now sold it so I hope these curtains can continue their life at the flat for a few years more. The cushions were a challenge as I couldn’t quite get the right shade of burgundy but I eventually found the brushed fringe in Greece of all places.

We replaced these off white, curtains today, which our client inherited from the previous owners many years ago. The pole was still in good working condition so we hung, steamed and dressed these unlined, 'single' pleat curtains made in a soft linen fabric from Merchant & Mills.
Fabric colur is Pine 185 at £23 per metre.

We really love a window transformation. In this Master Bedroom, our client had some Roman blinds up at the windows, which were well & truly past their sell by date. To soften the room we installed 2 x plain blackout roller blinds, behind some lovely full-length sheer curtains with a single pinch pleat heading.
I think you'll agree that the final result is a vast improvement.
Curtain fabric is Midori Damson Cotton/Linen by Clarke & Clarke.

A new Roman blind fitted yesterday. Fabric is called Elson by ROMO in the Mineral colourway. A very smart stripe that works really well as a Roman blind.

I am so behind with social media this year. After losing my Mom at the end of September last year, life has been very challenging. You can never truly prepare for losing your parents and knowing that I will never see either of them again is really hard to bear.

Some new curtains hung and dressed today on a custom bay track in a Bronze finish.
The heading is made with pencil pleat tape not gathered up, to create a more contemporary look. The client also wanted the heading to cover the track when the curtains are pulled closed.
