Your baby isn’t waking because they’re broken. They’re waking because they’re human.

Did you know that every single one of us wakes several times every night?

It’s one of the biggest misconceptions I hear from exhausted parents…

“My baby wakes up at night, so something must be wrong.”

Actually… waking is completely normal. We all do it.

The difference is that most adults briefly wake, roll over, adjust the duvet, maybe change position… and drift straight back to sleep without even remembering it the next morning.

Babies aren’t born knowing how to do that. Independent sleep is a skill that develops over time, and for many little ones, they simply need some gentle guidance to learn it.

That’s why my goal is never to stop children waking.

My goal is to help them develop the confidence and skills to connect their sleep cycles and settle back to sleep independently.

Once parents understand this, sleep suddenly makes so much more sense.

Save this post for the next time you start worrying that your little one “should” be sleeping for 12 uninterrupted hours.

So, was this something you already knew, or has it surprised you?

🤩One of the biggest compliments I can receive is when families come back to me with their second baby.
It tells me they didn’t just see results... they trusted the process enough to do it all again.

Sleep isn’t just about getting a few extra hours. It’s about giving parents the confidence to know what they’re doing, helping little ones develop healthy sleep habits from the very beginning, and creating calmer, happier days for the whole family.

Reading messages like this reminds me exactly why I love what I do. 🤍

If you’re wondering whether life with a great sleeper is really possible, this is your proof.

🪧 if you’ve been thinking about getting support, this is your sign to reach out. I’d love to help.

Looking for something to do with the kids this summer that they’ll actually remember?

When I travelled to Ireland to deliver a sleep talk, my daughter and I squeezed in a visit to the in Dublin… and honestly, we both had the BEST time.

As a single mum, I’m always looking for experiences that feel genuinely magical, keep little ones engaged, and create memories we’ll both treasure. This absolutely ticked every box.

From giant balloons and immersive rooms to creative play and Ireland’s biggest ball pit, there was something exciting around every corner. It was fun, imaginative and, best of all… I had one very happy (and very tired!) little girl by the end of the day. 😂💤

If you live in Dublin, or planning a trip to Dublin this summer, I’d genuinely recommend adding this to your list. 📋

Thank you so much to the Dream Point team for having us! 🤍

Have you been yet… or is it going on your summer bucket list? ✈️☘️

This review made me smile. 🥹

When people think about sleep support, they often imagine children who are waking all night long.
But that’s not always the case.

This little boy actually slept through the night (mostly). The challenge was bedtime. It had gradually become longer, harder and relied on Mum or Dad helping him fall asleep every evening.

Sometimes these habits creep in so slowly that you don’t even realise they’re happening... until one day you’re wondering why bedtime suddenly takes forever.

Helping families doesn’t always mean fixing night wakings. Sometimes it’s about making bedtime calm again, giving parents their evenings back, and helping little ones feel confident enough to fall asleep independently.

I’m so grateful to every family who takes the time to leave me a review. It genuinely means the world, and I’m so happy I could help this lovely family. 😴

Well… your No Drama Mama had a little too much drama last night. 😅🙈

What started as an ordinary evening ended with me slipping over, a bleeding ear, and a very big reality check.

As a single mum, it suddenly hit me that if something more serious had happened, I don’t actually have any safety measures in place for emergencies when it’s just me and my daughter at home.

Thankfully, I was okay (and my little hero rushed over with an ice lolly to “make Mummy better,” which honestly melted my heart 🥹❤️).

So today, I’m turning to you for advice instead of giving it!

If you’re a single parent, or you’ve thought about this before, what safety precautions do you have in place? Is there an app, device, routine, or emergency plan you’d recommend?

I’d genuinely love to hear your ideas because I have a feeling I’m not the only one who’s never really thought about this until something scary happened.

Sometimes the No Drama Mama needs a little help too. ❤️

🥵 HOT BEDROOM? DON’T PANIC.

I’ve had so many messages today from parents (and friends!) worrying because their little one’s room is over 27°C at night.

A gentle reminder: one hot night (or a few!) is not going to ruin your child’s sleep or undo all of your hard work.
✔️ Keep clothing and bedding light.
✔️ A 0.2 tog sleeping bag is ideal, or just a nappy if it feels too warm.
✔️ Check the back of their neck or chest, not their hands or feet.
✔️ If they feel hot, clammy or sweaty, remove a layer.
✔️ A fan can help circulate the air, just don’t point it directly at your child.

🪭 See my previous post in blue about how to keep the room cool

And finally, from your No Drama Mama… babies are often much more adaptable than we give them credit for.

Do your best, trust your instincts, and try not to overthink it tonight. You’ve got this.

Pop a ☀️ in the comments if you’re also dreading trying to sleep in this heat tonight!
