Meet Harleen McLean, a biophilic designer whose journey has taken her from Kenya to Italy and into a practice centred on creating spaces that are not only beautiful, but biologically attuned to how we heal, think, feel and connect.

Through her work with natural materials, light, sound and storytelling through textiles, Harleen brings a deeper understanding of how nature can inform the spaces we create.

We spend so much of our time indoors, which makes the environments we create incredibly important to our wellbeing and everyday experiences.

Biophilic design offers a way to create spaces that connect us with nature—but it goes far beyond simply adding greenery.
