Brutalism is a utilitarian aesthetic movement that celebrating raw materials.

It features by exposing materials; mainly concrete, glass and unpolished wood.

Some tips to use it in your home interior design:

- Focus on honest design, use clean lines
- Use blocky forms, geometric shapes
- Use rough aged textures, consider peices featuring molten or hammered techniques
- Show metal, accent with bronze and brass
- Create a colour free zone beside the cooler side of nuetrals, slate and charcoal

Now, you may notice it looks like the industrial style. Though they have some similarities but the use of concrete on walls, ceilings or floors makes brutalism different.

Comment below what are your ideas about this movement 👇🏻

Should the entire house be painted one colour?

Well, painting every room in a house the same colour for some people is an attractive prospect.

When choosing a paint colour, you should consider the lighting of the space. Are you working primarily with artificial lights or natural lights?

The shade of one colour will be different depending on the lighting in each room. For instance, a colour in a sunny, south-facing space is different in a shady, north-facing space.

However, you can try implementing different shades of the colour rather than use it as a primary wall colour in every room.

By implementing different shades of the same colour, you give the entire space uniform look that is smooth and seamless while being elegant.

Or try to add one colour to individual sections in every space of the home to enhance the flow and continuity.
