Anna Garner’s very first role in the fashion industry was at the Paris office of American Vogue and Vanity Fair, working as an assistant to André Leon Talley. It was the springboard for an international career that has encompassed an eye-opening period as the visionary Joseph Ettedgui’s head of communications; five years in New York as fashion director of Henri Bendel, where Anna launched designers including Roland Mouret, Alice Temperley and Luella Bartley; and several years as head of fashion buying at London’s Selfridges. She is known for her eye for emerging talent, and a true appreciation of design, creativity and craftsmanship has always run through her work.
