It was a pleasure to be part of , Lyon, connecting with architects, designers and industry professionals to explore the transformative role of light in shaping exceptional spaces.

Events such as these provide a valuable platform to exchange ideas, discuss emerging trends in architectural lighting, and demonstrate how considered illumination can enhance the way we experience architecture and interiors.

We were delighted to showcase some of our latest innovations, including Cyra, Minim, Vorsa Dot, Vorsa and our plaster-in solutions. Each has been developed to deliver exceptional visual comfort, discreet integration and beautifully balanced lighting effects that elevate the interior environment.

Thank you to everyone who visited our stand, shared their insights and contributed to the many inspiring conversations throughout the event.

A special thank you to Mathilde Burkard, with whom we collaborated on an incredible art installation, and to Atelier George for their beautifully crafted bespoke timber work. Together, they created a striking and immersive feature that perfectly demonstrated the relationship between light, art and materiality. We look forward to continuing these collaborations and the conversations they inspire.

The Sky Villa at Delano Dubai demonstrates how considered lighting can elevate the experience of an entire home, shaping atmosphere, enhancing architecture, and creating seamless transitions between different moments of living and entertaining.

Working alongside the teams at La Bottega Interiors and Ennismore, John Cullen developed a layered lighting scheme that balances functionality with refinement, allowing the villa’s architecture, materials, and panoramic views to take centre stage.

Recognised at The International Design & Architecture Awards 2025, the project reflects our commitment to creating lighting that feels intuitive, adaptable, and quietly impactful.

Designed in collaboration with La Bottega Interiors and Ennismore.

Step inside this tranquil retreat at WOW!house 2026 with Luke Thomas, Design Director at John Cullen Lighting.

Designed as a calm, cocooning sanctuary for reading, reflection and conversation, the space demonstrates how carefully layered lighting can enhance texture, materiality and atmosphere. Centred around Phillip Jeffries’ striking Aura mural, light and shadow work together to reveal the depth and movement within the wallcovering, creating a quietly uplifting experience.

○ Polespring 50 highlights the planters, bringing softness and focus to the room’s natural elements
○ Vorsa Fix 40 precisely illuminates the artwork, creating subtle moments of visual interest
○ Contour HD is concealed within each coffer, adding warmth, depth and architectural definition

With a deliberately pared-back lighting scheme, every element has been carefully considered to support the room’s calm and restorative character.

Integrated by , the RAKO control system enables three distinct lighting scenes, allowing the atmosphere to transition seamlessly throughout the day.

A beautiful example of how thoughtful lighting can create spaces that encourage us to slow down, reconnect and simply enjoy the moment.

Lighting offers a refined way to transform shelving into an architectural feature, bringing warmth, depth and atmosphere to a space.

Within this design by , the shelving is softly backlit, with the LED strip concealed within a profile to gently wash light down the rear panel. The result creates a layered sense of depth and drama, while beautifully highlighting decorative objects and collected pieces.

This approach works especially well where there is a curated combination of materials, textures and objects, adding both visual interest and ambient warmth to the room.

Lighting plays an essential role in connecting interior and exterior spaces, creating a seamless transition from day to night while enhancing the atmosphere of a scheme.

Designed to adapt to the changing natural light throughout the day, this lighting approach softly illuminates materials, textures and architectural details, bringing warmth and depth to the space while maintaining a calm, understated feel.

By layering ambient, accent and task lighting, the scheme remains flexible and responsive, evolving alongside the way the space is experienced from morning through to evening.
