After sharing the story behind Marquis de Plume, we thought we’d give one of his rather lovely colourways a little moment in the spotlight.

Meet Rose Peach. Soft, romantic and full of beautiful old-world detail.

We absolutely love it paired with matching pink woodwork, warm antiques and a little brass. Proof that you can have plenty of pattern without losing that lovely, calm feeling.

Every wallpaper has a story… 🦚🍸

We’ve always loved discovering beautiful archive prints and imagining how we might bring them back to life.

When Tom found the artwork that would become Marquis de Plume, he fell for its beautiful details and, of course, the birds.

So we thought we’d sit down with Tom to hear a little more about how he restored the original, added a few distinctly Divine Savages flourishes and gave one rather distinguished peacock a martini.

Meet Marquis de Plume! A peacock of impeccable taste, questionable drinking habits and a flair for the dramatic. 🦚🍸

You’ll usually find him taking a leisurely stroll through his magnificent garden, admiring the flowers, showing off his feathers and occasionally stopping for a martini. Or two

He’s quite the character, really

When we set about bringing this beautiful archive wallpaper back to life, we couldn’t resist adding a little Divine Savages mischief to all that old-world charm

And so our cocktail-loving peacock was born!

A little eccentric. Rather elegant. And absolutely no intention of behaving himself

But what, exactly, does the Marquis order when the sun goes down?

We absolutely loved reading all your suggestions. Who knew one peacock could have so many fabulous alter egos?

But the time has come to make it official…

Allow us to introduce MARQUIS DE PLUME! 🦚🍸

We’ve always had a soft spot for beautiful old prints, especially ones with a story to tell. This one started life as an archive design, which we’ve lovingly restored and reimagined with a few distinctly Divine Savages twists - think magnificent peacocks, tumbling flowers and all the charm of a traditional English garden

But look a little closer…

Our fabulous peacock has made himself comfortable at the bar, martini in hand. Because, well, of course he has🍸

Putting the POW in powder room! 💥🌸

We decided our little loo on the landing needed a bit of a makeover. And, well, you know us…subtle was never really on the cards

We went all in with our Gardens of Amytis wallpaper in Rose, paired with glossy green tiles from Ca’ Pietra, a splash of brass and a rather lovely vintage mirror we found on one of our trips

It’s a tiny space, but honestly, it’s now one of our favourite parts of the house

We’ve always thought the smallest rooms are the perfect place to have a little fun with decorating. And if you can’t go a bit wild in the loo, where can you?

It’s all in the details…

There’s something pretty magical about seeing one of our designs come to life on the printing press.

Our metallic wallpapers are made for us in Lancashire by an incredibly skilled team who’ve been producing wallpaper for generations. We’ve been lucky enough to spend time there watching the process first-hand - and honestly, it never gets old.

The beautiful papers. The metallic inks. The tiny details that suddenly catch the light as you walk past.

We’ve always loved wallpapers that reveal a little more the closer you look, and these really do. They change throughout the day, catching the light in completely different ways - sometimes subtle, sometimes gloriously OTT.

Made in Britain, properly crafted, and with just the right amount of shimmer.
