For international women's day, KAIA is celebrating visionary women in design and architecture who are pioneering the landscape of design.

Their work has challenged conventions and expanded the possibilities of the built world. Their contributions remind us that creative freedom is closely tied to independence and the conditions that allow women to think create and lead with autonomy.

Today we celebrate their achievements and the values that allow innovation flourish.

Detail shot of our aluminium table ‘HEARG’.
The legs, which perforate the surface structure to reveal a concentric pattern, are inspired by the monolithic concrete structures which overshadow the concourse of London’s Euston station. It’s waxed aluminium structure is hand built in Italy by one of KAIA’s vast network of European ateliers and embodies our commitment to take a stand against the emphemeral.

KAIA X GSL

A close-up showcasing the precisely engraved makers marks of KAIA and GSL on our EMPYREAN light fixture.
KAIA’s makers mark is inspired by the Viennese Secessionist movement and holds our founding philosophies of skilled manufacturing at the antithesis of mass production.

Taking its name from the old English term for altar, ‘HEARG’ is a limited edition table which is deeply rooted in KAIA’s philosophy of skilled craftsmanship and minimalistic form.
‘SELD’ are the accompanying chairs and are forged in the same workshop and material but with the addition of black hand stitched leather.
