I took on a weeks work experience with the local florist in my home town in Southern Ireland. After learning some of the skills involved I was offered a Saturday job and full time summer work. Being a creative soul I absolutely loved working with the freedom of flowers to create something so natural and beautiful that made our clients smile. It was so rewarding in every sense. But being 18 and gro
wing up on a farm, as wonderful as it was I was eager to travel and experience city life, other countries and cultures. I studied Interior design for 2 years and since then I have a had a varied career working for some amazing companies. I started off with Hospitality and Events management for Harvey Nichols in Dublin where I met a handsome Scottish Boy who brought me to Edinburgh. Since then I have worked for some very creative luxury companies such as Hamilton & Inches, Hermès, Stephen Webster Jewellery London and Oka Interiors. My passion for floristry has always been with me and after a year of rediscovering this passion I started my own little company, Feather Grass Florals. Designing everyday and having the chance to work with amazing clients has been at the core of what I do.
Love can take us on all sorts of journeys and I now call that handsome Scottish boy my husband and father of our 2 gorgeous girls.
