Today marks the start of Plastic free July.
LED lighting contributes to a reduction in plastic waste by offering a longer-lasting, more durable alternatives to traditional lighting solutions. Unlike conventional bulbs, which often need frequent replacement and are commonly housed in plastic fixtures, LEDs can last up to 25 times longer, significantly reducing the volume of discarded materials.
At Integrity Lighting Solutions we are focussed on developing more energy-efficient lighting solutions, streamlining manufacturing processes, and moving to more sustainable packaging. We have already started to switch over to cardboard-based LED tape packaging materials throughout our range which have minimal plastic content, further minimising their environmental footprint.
Within our wider packaging solutions we have also switched over to biodegradable packaging chips and bubble wraps. These are all small but very important steps to a more sustainable future.
By switching to LED lighting, both consumers and businesses can help decrease the demand for single-use plastic components and reduce the overall volume of waste entering landfills. Buy once, light for years!
