One very busy little colony! 🐝🍯
🐝 So, what exactly is a nuc? 🐝
If you're not a beekeeper, you might be wondering what we're talking about when we say nuc!
A nuc (nucleus colony) is essentially a small, established bee colony kept in a smaller hive box. It contains a queen, worker bees, brood (developing young bees) and food stores — so it's a little colony in its own right. 🐝👑
Think of it as a mini hive, where the colony can grow and build up before eventually moving into a full-sized hive.
And this one is certainly living up to its name of busy! 😍🐝
