🌓 3D print upgrade project PART 3️⃣
The third instalment of my upgrade project - taking one of their fantastic sculpts and adding some Terrain By Hand landscaping!
The Modular Outpost felt like a nice project to tackle - adding some scatter terrain to really give the impression of a gateway into a long-forgotten outer rim territory 🌑
I’ve also shown off some rock scatter pieces - in the same style - to drop around the gaming board for additional cover and, of course, theming! 🪨
I’ll soon be expanding the War Scenery licensed ranges available on my website - files have been created & test prints for shop photos will be underway soon 👀

🔨 And so the pack-up begins… 📦
It’s a day of mixed emotions here at Terrain By Hand HQ… Next Monday, work begins to completely refresh my workshop space 🪚
While I do a lot of my work in my home office, my garage workshop has been my main base for what began as hobby work, and has since evolved into business work, for years. It’s been changed around endless times, trying to optimise space/layout/usability as the business has expanded and grown.
But… the time has come for an upgrade… and I’m preparing for a month or so of disruption as the changes take place 😵‍💫
So, I’m both excited and apprehensive! Eager to see my plans take shape, and nervous for what the next few weeks will bring.
This week will be spent ripping EVERYTHING out - only a few fixtures are being reinstated, the rest is being replaced. ✨
I’ll still be open for business - though please be patient if things take a little bit longer to process in my temporary setup! I’ll be keeping my 3D printers running (in another room), but everything else is getting stored elsewhere for the next few weeks while the work is carried out to convert the space into a purpose-built workshop - one that will completely revolutionise the way that I work.
Here goes nothing!!! 🫣

🎨 Paint Colour HELP! 🔴🔵🟢🟡
I’ve been working on a set of handcrafted terrain for Moonstone by for a little while now, in between other projects, and they’re now ready to be painted!
BUT… I want to avoid the classic brown wood/ grey stone/ blue roof tiles, beige cladding - and I want to mix it up a bit!

🌑 3D print upgrade project PART 2️⃣
After a busy month processing orders from shows, I managed to fit in more custom terrain pieces! This time, the “Listening Station”!
I love the sculpts for these prints, and I felt it right to add some Terrain By Hand flair to enhance their presence further on the table 🤩
I really enjoy taking 3D prints and customising them by handcrafting some surrounding landscape. The added benefit is that, instead of fixing it onto a fully landscaped board, this can move freely around a gaming table for maximum replay-ability! 🔂
I currently have 2 licenses for War Scenery terrain, all available on my website. If you’d like something a little more custom (like this Listening Station), then I’d love to discuss it with you! 💬
