Otto joins his friends. The three Mawk Mask designs are complete in their 3D printed form. Hand sculpted, digitally refined, hand finished. The material and the design are a huge improvement on the rotary cast resin version (see the difference in the 3rd photo).

These are heavily based on Larval masks, but integrating a more organic flow and asymmetry, and they are specifically designed to be flipped upside down. We frequently did flip the Larval masks when I trained with them, but I’m not sure that’s by design.

This is the largest mask I’ve 3D printed. About the limit of the Prusa MK4S size.

Last year I designed these reversible Mawk Masks for the .collectif festival in Tours. These two have progressed from resin to 3D printed versions and it’s an amazing step up in quality. They were inspired by larval masks and early Commedia masks from illustrations where multiple performers wear the same design in a parade.
