Some details are simply too good to lose. 🪟

These traditional stained-glass panels were an important part of the character of this building — so when the windows were replaced, preserving them was key.

The decorative glass was carefully incorporated into the new timber windows, allowing the original feature to remain while giving the surrounding windows a new lease of life.

From the exterior they sit beautifully within the architecture, but it’s from inside where the stained glass really comes into its own.

Preserving the details that make a building unique.

Windows ready for glue!

We’ve checked the sizes, checked the glass fits and we’re ready for glue..

It’s all in the preparation, once the glues on it’s on!

One piece of timber. A lot of work! There’s something quite therapeutic about making the glazing bars and beads all out of the same piece of wood though.

Multiple machines. Multiple passes. Different cutters for each element, all from the same piece of to create our glazing bars and beads in-house.

It’s a long process and not something everyone chooses to do.

But for us it’s these details that make the difference.
