My favourite item of the week are these divine vintage gypsy pegs. These are handmade and very old with their original tin banding.

They are definitely decor pieces now but are still perfectly useful for displaying lovely ephemera (in my case, collating receipts!) but they could be used for a number of crafts or just left to look beautiful on a shelf.

These were often made by the gypsy travelling community and made by hand whittling hazel and ash found in hedgerows.

There are perfectly un uniform, some have split tops but all have secure tin banding with tiny tacks.

This is 0.3L model from the Eschenbach La Reine series. Lovely quality and as this range is made for hospitality, it’s a great everyday piece. Perfect for 2 people.

• Weight: 385 g
• Capacity: 0.30 Liters (30 cl).

It is in immaculate condition. High quality. it’s also a very pretty jug if you use without the lid!

Lovely condition, No chips or crazing. Just a weeny manufacturing line in one corner.

I can never resist sourcing these beautiful vintage embroideries. I get lost in the stitching detail and love thinking of the moment the maker stood back with the feeling of her finished work.

These are a lovely set titled Bluebell Wood and Rugged Grandeur. They are embroidered on fine linen and have the prettiest frame, stippled in gold and verdegris green on oak. There’s a few chips to the frame but not at all offensive.
There is some rippling to the Rugged Grandeur one but forgivable so. There is no staining but too much reflection from me taking these in awkward light!

They are 26cm wide x 30cm tall.

Selling as a set for £42.

This beautiful piece is a hand-painted Indian artwork created on a dried, treated skeleton leaf from the Peepal tree (also known as the Ficus religiosa or Bodhi tree).

This amazing folk art is done by drying the Peepal leaf, its green chlorophyll removed to leave a translucent network of veins.

The painting shows a traditional Indian dancer or figure adorned in vibrant regional attire with a pillared archway in the background.

It’s mounted on heavy black paper and bar a surface tear below the base of the leaf, it’s in excellent condition. Easy to remount and frame.

The leaf is 14cm wide x 18.5cm tall.

SPOKEN FOR SW ❤️

This little antique tin is rather special and this size is quite rare.

It’s an original early 1880s-1900s Van Houten’s Cocoa sample tin. These miniature canisters were historically filled with a small amount of product (often around 1/4 ounce) and distributed by mail or at exhibitions as a free trial to introduce households to Van Houten’s Dutch-processed cocoa powdersold or given away in shops and exhibitions as promotional tasters for customers to trial the cocoa product.

More notably, they were also distrubuted to WW1 and Boer War soldiers as a morale boosting ration and included in care packs. How humbling to think of something we take so forgranted being a pick me up whilst they fought in trenches.

This is tiny at just 1.75 inches (4.5 cm)
and 1 inch (2.5 cm) in diameter.
It’s in lovely condition, without dings and with clear embossing to the lid.

This beauuutiful vase has come from a studio pottery collection clearly curated by a connoisseur of art ceramics.

This piece has a rounded, globular body with a narrow mouth, finished with a pale/bluish-white glaze and hand-formed organic slip or draped clay textures across its upper shoulders.

It’s striking in its form but also very soft on the eye and would suit any setting.
16cm tall x 15cm diameter across the belly.
Excellent condition. No chips or cracks.
A really pleasing piece.

Im already thinking of mulled w**e season just to get me through the colder months and what better way to sort Halloween or Christmas with this fabulous 1970s punch bowl set by Arcoroc, France.

Arcoroc have been renowned for their durable glassware collections since 1958 and this set features their Fleur range, with its fab floral design.

There are 8 cups and an acrylic ladle and hooks for hanging on the side of the bowl. Sadly one hook is missing and one has a chipped end but frankly it terrifies me that these would hang from a bowl during a party anyway!

The bowl is 31cm, the 8 cups are 22cl and all are presented in their original well designed box so easy to store when not in use.

Immaculate condition.

Another lovely beaker, this one for our wonderful Queen Elizabeth II to commemorate her coronation on June 2, 1953.

The front features a sepia profile portrait of the young Queen inset within a green and gold laurel wreath, surrounded by the Union Jack and Royal Standard flags, and topped with the St Edward’s Crown.
Produced under the Nelson Ware brand name, which belonged to Elijah Cotton Ltd of Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. It features the “BCM” (British Ceramic Manufacturers) mark on the base, reflecting an official design initiative shared among select British potteries for the historic event. The reverse of this specific Nelson Ware beaker depicts the red shield and White Horse of Kent alongside the county’s motto, Invicta.

As with the other one listed, this is crazed and it has a hairline crack so it’s another bargain scoop at £2.
