My next icon is Frida Kahlo. Anyone who knows me knows how obsessed I’ve been with her work and her life since I was 14 (a long time ago! 😅). After problems with my own health she inspires me to carry on doing what I ❤️.

She was unapologetically herself—cross-dressing and living as an open bisexual during a time when it wasn't accepted or even heard of. She didn’t care about fitting in; she was her own person. From the physical pain and trauma she endured as a child, to the bus crash that crushed her body and broke her spine, to the countless miscarriages and the abuse from her husband—she went through it all.
Yet, she held her head high. Coming from nothing, she transformed her pain into shocking, beautiful art. she shows all women that no matter what we face in life, we can still achieve anything. We can leave behind a legacy, no matter who we are or where we come from. Frida is my icon forever."

A bit controversial, but today I’m dedicating my day for International Women’s Day to Ruth Ellis—the last woman hanged in the UK. 🥀
Ruth was executed in 1955 for the shooting of her partner. He was a violent man who had subjected her to years of physical and emotional abuse, including a beating that caused her to miscarry.

At the time, the law didn't recognise 'diminished responsibility' or the trauma of domestic abuse as a defence. However, the nation’s uproar was massive—hundreds of letters flooded the government, violent protests erupted in the streets, and over 50,000 people signed petitions for her life.

While they couldn't save Ruth, her death changed everything. It directly shaped the Homicide Act 1957, which limited the use of the death penalty, and eventually led to its total abolition in 1965. Today, we remember her as a victim of a system that failed to understand the cycle of violence.

Last year I disappeared into the Costa Rican jungle to learn natural building 🌿

This year, after finishing my degree, I’m doing it all over again—chasing hands-on knowledge across the world, starting with 5 weeks avanced cob house build in Portugal.

The goal? A fully sustainable, hands-on interior design career, bringing earth-built homes to the UK—for the planet and our health ❤️

I'm in love with the ombre on the concrete flooring. So glad I went with my gut with the colours. I one point I thought the plum would be to much. Always go with your instinct and don't follow the crowd in design.
