For today’s NUsign artwork, I wanted something elegant rather than overloaded.
A garden in bloom. Soft dusk light. Blossom branches holding the frame. Petals in the air. Then above it all, the unmistakable silhouette of a Spitfire passing through a waning crescent sky.

The mix behind this piece was International Plant Appreciation Day, peak spring bloom, Spitfire anniversary energy, and that quieter almost-new-moon atmosphere. It felt like the perfect balance of nature and engineering, stillness and motion, memory and season.

Very April. Very English. Very NUsign.

Today’s NUsign artwork was inspired by International Day for Human Space Flight and built around wonder, scale, and silence.
Not loud. Not chaotic. Just that deep human pull toward the unknown.

NUsign piece, I leaned into the emotional side of space rather than the technical side.
A lone figure. A huge moon. A still city below. That feeling of distance, hope, loneliness, and possibility all sharing the same sky.

International Day for Human Space Flight is a reminder that exploration is not only machinery and science. It is also imagination, courage, and the need to push beyond what we already know.

History at Aintree. I Am Maximus has done it again, returning to the Grand National stage and winning for a second time. A true champion performance, full of grit, power and presence.
