It's sweater weather!! No, honestly!
I know, it's summer now. But look: in the UK 'summer' can be really quite chilly. You don't want to wear a big coat, but a jumper is a handy thing to stick in your bag. And even when it's warm during the day, that means you're going to go and have drinks on the seafront, or in a beer garden, and when the sun goes down you're going to be glad of a nice warm jumper. And if you're at a festival, then a jumper is an absolute camping necessity. So I think you really need to knit yourself a nice sweater. I'm bringing a load of mine to the Margate Bazaar so you can get a sense of how much yarn you'll need, and you can order what you want. I've even got a special offer for you: 10% off 3+, 15% off 6+ of one colour! (I'm also bringing some knitted vests and tees in case you're really certain you don't need a jumper.)

I will be at the festive market at Dreamland on Saturday! Come and say hello and buy some yarn. It makes a great present because sometimes the person you buy it for knits you something with it!

The festive season is here- and this Saturday (7 December) Margate will be jam-packed with cheer and brilliant gift ideas from local businesses and independent makers and crafters.

🎄The WI elves are getting ready for our Christmas Fayre which returns to Dreamland Margate (11am-4pm).

🎄Then head over to Handmade at Eclectic, in The Eclectic Art Gallery in the old town (11am-4pm).

🎄Stop by the Brighter Days Markets at Turner Contemporary (10am - 4pm).

🎄Then make your way to Northdown Road where lots of businesses are taking part in the Christmas Block Party. Events are being held all day and some will last into the evening too. Phew!
