Exciting news !!!

After having some much deserved and needed time off of baking we will be back at the picturesque Bleak House this weekend (both Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th June) from 10am til 5pm both days. We will be bringing all your favourite sweet treats so if you still need that something special for Father’s Day why not surprise them with a goodie bag of yummy nougat, honeycomb & much more.

We will be sending all week baking and getting ready for the fantastic event for Dickens’s week. Just a little reminder though as the weather is getting warmer we recommend storing all our products in a airtight container in a cool dry room (we don’t recommend putting any of our products in the fridge as it can change the consistency of them, unless this is your preference)

Yes we try & test all our products before we sell them but days like today where my conditions are flaring up it’s nice to have a little sweet treat and there is nothing better on a bad day than a hot chocolate with homemade marshmallows.

Thank you for all the continuous support. Don’t forget that even tho I’m having a little break at the moment due to my health we will be back up and running again for the Dickens weekend event at Bleak House 13th & 14th June plus we will be at Elham Farmers' Market for the first time on 14th June.

We would just like to say a massive thank you to Friends of Ellington for having us at this years May Fayre. We would also like to thank all the wonderful people/ customers we met and spoke to today. We really appreciate all your support, you all keep us going and we can’t thank you enough.

We are going to have a little break to recover/ recharge but we will be back at the magnificent Bleak House next month on the 13th and 14th June also we will be attending Elham Farmers' Market on the 14th June. Can’t wait to see everyone 🥰

Who’s excited because we are?

Don’t forget only 2 days until the Ellington May Fayre, we will be up by the playground (shown on the map) we will have all your favourites including 17 flavours of nougat, marshmallows, honeycomb, fluff and vegan toffees.

I’m still baking up a storm for the next two day to make sure we have enough stock. We are super excited to be attending this event and it’s the biggest event we have done by far so can’t wait to see everyone.

If you don’t want to miss out on any don’t forget you can preorder for collection on the day. This includes chocolate covered marshmallows and chocolate covered honeycomb at £5 a bag.

Behind the scenes of a day at baking for an event (baring in mind I can only make about 6 double batches a day which is the equivalent to a 6 hour day. This doesn’t include prep work before baking, paperwork, cutting/ wrapping/ bagging/ labelling. This 6 hours is just baking)

As some of you know I have a brain condition that at times can be completely debilitating and I can be bed or sofa bound for hours. When I’m having a bad day but I still need to bake I take lots of pain meds, stay hydrated with glucose drinks and even use my neck hot water bottle. These are the things people don’t see of running a small business. Some days I get out of bed and battle with the thoughts of making anything that day (I’m also a mum of two very young children) but I still get up and show up as much as I can because all of you incredible customers and the amazing support I’ve got keeps me going. If it wasn’t for all of you supporting me and of course my family I don’t know what I’d do so I just wanted to let you all in and also say a MASSIVE THANK YOU for all your support it really means a lot.

We are super excited for Ellington this Sunday 11:30-6:30. We are baking our bums off over the next 4 days to hopefully have enough stock for the event. This is the first time ever doing an event this big so we can’t wait. On the map below we have shown where we will be.
