Have you started your Christmas crafting yet?? There’s something rather special about decorating your home with things you’ve made yourself - and Christmas is the perfect excuse to get sewing!

Whether you’re making decorations for your own home, creating something special for a friend, or simply looking for a relaxing project to stitch while the Christmas music is playing, handmade Christmas sewing is a wonderful way to slow down and enjoy the season. And the best bit, you get to bring out your handmade creations every December and remember when you made them :)

It’s the perfect time to get started on this year’s handmade Christmas, these cute EPP motifs make beautiful cards to give away to loved ones to hang on their own trees, or why not add a few to your own 🎄

We’re all set up for the Newcastle Quilting and Sewing show with Grosvenor Shows over the next two days at Newcastle Racecourse, Gosforth.
Come and visit the Sewmotion stand for all your EPP supplies, kits, patterns, papers and templates. We also have FPP projects, gorgeous fabric pre-cuts and even some scrap bags! If you’re in the area why not pop along, if you’re not why not make a weekend of it - Newcastle is a beautiful town to explore on the Sunday :)

I'm looking forward to being back on Sewing Street at 9am tomorrow morning (2nd Sept) for some festive joy with these new EPP kits, patterns, papers and templates :)
As well new versions of my Star Bunting and Wreath Tablemats, I have a brand new Tudor Rose Christmas Panel to show you!

You know how much I love a rainbow, and when asked me to design a quilt in full glorious colour, I couldn’t resist! My Rainbow Routes quilt features both simple and foundation paper-piecing and is a great masterclass in the different ways of making half-square triangles. These bold Spectrum Solids are the set against a crisp white background for a bright and vibrant finish.
