Scotland catch up 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 We celebrated my brother in law’s 40th in Fife, then headed up to Aberdeen to see the in laws, with a few more days here yet. Somehow we’ve managed to sneak a bit of Surrey sunshine in between the rain showers too ☀️

Between the parties and catch ups there’s still been time for a bit of everything I love! Some walking to stretch the legs and the lungs (up hill and down), baking to fill the kitchen with a good smell, and a few proper art sessions with the oil pastels, this one turned into a moody mountain sunset that I’m really pleased with. It’s not a secret that art or craft supplies go everywhere with me!

Still a few days of family, food and creative time left before we head home. Loving this trip so far 🎨

Well my morning hasn’t entirely gone to plan 🤣🤦‍♀️

I started off with the intention of clearing out the small tubes of acrylic paint from my workshop supplies and what I make available for the kids to use, and it turned into a collage paper making session instead 🫟🎨

Some of the paints were extremely old and had gone grainy in the tubes, no good for my usual practice. As I absolutely hate being wasteful, I wondered if setting the intention to not use a brush would let me use the paints up rather than just binning them.

Armed with a little flow improver, a long ruler and some scrunched up kitchen foil, I’ve made some fun pieces ready to add to my collection ✨

I’m going to keep going and keep making! Loving the summer feel to these colours and the shift in intention. It’s been rather freeing 😊🌿

Small group. Quality materials. A painting you’ll actually want to hang on your wall when you get home. Our acrylic paints give a beautiful satin finish straight off the canvas, no varnishing needed.

This is a proper guided workshop in a relaxed, friendly pub setting. Come on your own or bring a friend, no experience needed either way.

Introducing Painting in the Pub, my very own series of relaxed, guided painting evenings for adults. No experience needed, just good vibes, a drink in hand, and a painting to take home at the end of the night.

Our first event is Wish You Were Here, a bold, colourful beach scene in the style of vintage British holiday poster art. Think cocktails, deck chairs, parasols, and all the summer nostalgia.

I’ve totally fallen behind with posting for Craft Every Day in November 🙈 but definitely not with the crafting!

It’s been a really busy stretch… Christmas market prep, lots of art, face painting at the school fair, and I finished the dress for the bunny rabbit 🐰👗 I’ve also designed a new product for my Christmas fairs — a lovely beach bag! 🏖️ It arrived just in time to display for orders, and the turnaround is super quick… only about 10 days from the printers to me!

I’m still about 20 circles short for my crochet cardigan but that can wait until the markets calm down. Plenty of making still happening behind the scenes 💙✨

Day 5 of Craft Every Day in November for the MND Association 💙

A quieter day of making today, working with my youngest on some Escher-inspired patterns and creating our own fox designs 🦊 It’s been lovely to share some creativity together while she is off school sick 💗

Days 3 & 4 were spent continuing to teach my youngest crochet and we’re definitely getting there! 🧶

Today’s progress shot comes from the car, a growing pile of crochet circles and a rapidly shrinking ball of wool! A little bit of creativity squeezed in on the journey home after half term.

A quiet start at Kennacoil near Dunkeld; some wool, a crochet hook, and a view that makes it easy to slow down and create.

Looking forward to sharing a piece each day this month as part of this challenge. 💙
