This needed a permanent place on the feed 🥳

We FINALLY have a room with flooring in it. Attempt number 1 was self adhesive tiles, which didn’t stick at all. Attempt number 2 was the addition of evo stick, which still didn’t stick.

So attempt number 3 is a roll of vinyl flooring, fit by the brilliant G J Chapman Carpet and Vinyl Fitting Services

Absolutely not an ad, but I’m blown away by the difference it’s made. And over the moon that it’s stuck down well enough to withstand my clumsy moments 😂

A quick update as we go into the new year!

It’s very exciting, but it took us a full week to pack my workspace up to allow us to eat Christmas dinner in there so I daren’t unpack before we move and have to redo all of that work! I’m still here digitally, and might share a few flashbacks/memories as well as updates as we move, but I won’t be making anything until we’re in and settled.

I hope all of our customers and followers had a lovely festive period!

Today marks the final postal orders leaving me, so it seems an appropriate time for a quick confession!

I shared photos of our new bell boxes, while waiting for a delivery of them. That delivery arrived damaged, as did the next.

So the decision was made to rethink and look again, and I came across these absolutely beautiful boxes.

You’ll see these in 2026 instead of the new antique ones I showcased. They’re beautiful, fantastic quality, and from a UK supplier so offer better eco credentials. A win all round 🥳

My absolute priority is making sure that the goods I make and sell are as good as they can possibly be, and I wouldn’t have sent out the dented boxes I received. They’d been sent with no protection at all, just in a mailing bag. I hope that these new ones will get that balance right between being the right size, looking lovely, and arriving with you in immaculate condition 🦏

I’m now fully up to date with Etsy orders, which means I’ve been able to push my order deadline right up to the last minute. Order by 9am on Monday, 15th December for Christmas delivery 🎅

A wonderful issue to have, but I’m so busy at the moment that I’ve not had time to keep social media updated. Apologies for the silence!

Postage has now been changed to tracked 24 across all items, this is as I’ve started to spot the odd delayed or stuck item.

I’m not giving a set last order date until I know when’s going to work best, but I won’t be working beyond the 16th December. I’ll try to update people as I get a better idea of order numbers, but I’m currently simply posting things as quickly as possible to keep on top of things and stay open for as long as possible. Please don’t risk leaving things too late, there’s a few people who’ve told me they need to order things and haven’t yet, I’d hate for you to miss out!

My plan was to upload the new Christmas range all in one go for a “grand reveal”. Unfortunately, my attention span dictates otherwise. It’s going up bit by bit, because it’s better slowly than not at all!

With the best of intentions I asked about names for our new mascot, and then had to drop the social media ball because working from home with children looks a bit like this! I’ve just about kept up with making orders, but everything else had to be abandoned for the sake of managing that.

But, I’m finally back! This one’s back at school today, the eldest returns tomorrow, and I can feel my brain letting out a sigh of relief…

The poll will be up this afternoon, so there’s still time for any last minute suggestions :)
