Trend Predictions for 2026 — Caramel 🤎

Caramel is set to feature strongly in 2026. Warm, grounded and softer than traditional browns of 2025, it adds depth and comfort without feeling heavy. As brown tones have re-entered the high street, caramel feels like the natural evolution of the trend.

It pairs beautifully with warm whites, soft greens, muted blue-greys and natural woods, making it an easy, wearable choice for both homes and wardrobes.

Timeless, warm and quietly confident.

Looking ahead to 2026, I’m confident interiors will continue to move in this direction.

Patterns will return in a more considered way — stripes, classic motifs and subtle detailing used where they add interest, not everywhere. Alongside this, softer romantic elements and heritage influences will sit comfortably in modern homes, adding character without feeling heavy or old-fashioned.

Just as important is how we’ll be using our homes. More focus on relaxed dining, easy hosting and spaces that support everyday family life, rather than trying to look perfect.

Homes in 2026 will feel personal, practical and lived-in and designed to be enjoyed!

Not everything in 2026 is soft.

Alongside calmer colours this year, bold moments are stepping forward — from lacquer, stone, graphic pattern to strong surfaces used with purpose.

Bold, but considered.

As we move towards 2026, interior colour trends are quietly shifting.

There’s less focus on anything overly styled, and more on colours that feel warm, familiar and easy to live with. Soft caramel tones, antique rose and gentle, muted greens are all coming through — colours that add depth and calm without taking over a room.

These are shades that feel lived-in and considered, sitting comfortably alongside natural textures and working just as well in everyday homes.

Which of these colours do you feel drawn to?

🎄 12 Days of Interiors — Day 12 🎄

As this year’s 12 Days of Interiors comes to an end, I’ve been reflecting on what a busy and rewarding year it’s been — working across a wide mix of wonderful and interesting client projects.

As we head towards the end of the year, I’m also about to start the design of my own long-awaited interior project — my bathroom.

It’s a small space and, while practical, it’s tired and ready for change. As the first place we visit in the morning and the last at night, I want it to set the tone for the day — and become a place where the family can properly wind down at the end of it.

With the right colours, textures and lighting, even a small bathroom can feel warm, considered and quietly luxurious. I’ll be planning everything carefully before choosing tiles or fittings, making sure the space feels just right.

✨ I’ll be sharing the bathroom journey as it unfolds — from planning and layouts to finishes and final details — so you can follow along with the progress.

Thank you for following, supporting my work, and being part of the journey this year 🤍

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year ✨

🎄 11th Day of Christmas — Designing Three Very Different Spaces

This project was for a family who had just arrived in the UK and were settling into their new home. I worked across three very different rooms, each with its own role to play, while making sure the house felt welcoming and cohesive.

The living room was designed as a music room, a space to welcome guests, listen to music, enjoy a drink and spend relaxed family time together.

The master bedroom was created as a calming retreat, somewhere to unwind and recharge after busy days.

And then there was their daughter’s room which is a place where she could retreat, read her books, play and hide away. One of my briefs from my five-year-old Client was that she wanted a dragon in her room! I love that we can get really creative with children’s spaces and make them a little magical!

Projects like this are always special. It’s about helping a house feel like home, especially when everything is new.

🎄 It’s the 10th Day of Christmas — Full Project Management & Bespoke Joinery

This project for a wonderful family in Buckingham started as a complete blank canvas. The brief was a n image of some cabinetry they liked, and to work with their existing curtains and introduce plenty of warm wood tones to create a space that felt cosy, practical and timeless.

The design focused on a full run of cabinetry along one long wall, incorporating an American-style fireplace, a desk, and a TV/media area designed to neatly house (and disguise!) games consoles and tech, finished with soft evening lighting. Once the design was agreed, we moved on to the new flooring, wall colours and overall scheme.

I managed the project from design through to completion, working closely with my joiner, painter and floorer to make sure each stage followed on smoothly and the space came together as planned. While the final furnishings will be added in the New Year, the room is finished, dressed and already feeling cosy and lived-in.

My Favourite part..
✨ The whole project - which was completed over a month earlier than originally scheduled
✨ Everything ran smoothly as it could
✨ And the family were able to enjoy their new room in time for Christmas

It’s the planning, my amazing team of trades and the attention to detail that really bring a room together.

🎄 Day 9 of Christmas — Commercial Beauty Room Design

Designing commercial spaces is about more than how they look — it’s about how they work.

This beauty room project focused on using clever designer tricks to open up the space, clearly zone different areas, and still keep everything feeling calm, luxurious and professional. Layout, storage, lighting and finishes need to be carefully considered to support both the client experience and the day-to-day running of the business.

By layering textures, soft finishes, mirrors and feature walls, the space gains depth and interest, while thoughtful lighting and colour help create a welcoming, confident atmosphere without ever feeling overwhelming.

Great commercial design should feel beautiful ✨
…and quietly work hard behind the scenes.

If you run a local salon, clinic or studio and your space isn’t working as well as it could- give us a call.

🎄 Day 8 — Flooring & Flow

Flooring is one of the biggest investments in a home and one of the easiest places to make costly mistakes if you’re not careful.

This year I’ve helped several clients choose new flooring by focusing on flow, keeping levels consistent across thresholds, and selecting the right grain, tone and finish so everything works together beautifully.

I work with excellent flooring companies to make sure the final result reflects the design properly, never compromising with rushed decisions or cheap materials.

Because let’s be honest… cheap flooring doesn’t just wear out and look tired quickly, it often needs repairing or replacing far sooner than you’d expect 😬

Flooring can be covered in a Home Visit Consultation, and through a Design Package I can guide you through the entire decision process, helping you get it right the first time 🤍

🎄 12 Days of Interiors — Day 7

Colour Consultation and Layout | Awkward Shaped Living space.

I worked with a client on a colour consultation for a room that just wasn’t quite working. The shape was awkward, the layout felt unsettled, and despite moving the furniture around many times, it never felt right.

During a Colour Consultation, we look at the space as a whole and how the room flows, what seating was needed, how the natural light affected colour, and how everything connected to the adjoining areas.

Working with the Clients Inspirational pieces, we can build a colour, layout and proportions so the room starts coming together.

We put it all down on paper letting the client see how the space could work, rather than guessing. With a clear palette and a considered layout in place, they were able to move forward feeling confident and much more settled about the decisions.

Sometimes a colour consultation is simply about clarity and helping a home feel calmer, more cohesive and easier to live in.

Declutter & Style: Creating a Calmer, More Welcoming Home

This project was all about turning an unloved house into a warm inviting home that worked beautifully for everyday living.

It wasn’t that the property was overly cluttered, it simply didn’t have the right storage or structure, and with a very busy work life, things naturally ended up wherever was quickest at the end of a long day. My first job was to take that stress away and bring clarity to the space.

✨ Planned storage that worked with the layout
✨ Decluttered with purpose, making the most of every space
✨ Giving everything a home
✨ Styled with comfortable seating, soft textures and warm lighting

In just two days, the home shifted from cold and unwelcoming to feeling organised, calm and inviting and a place to enjoy coming home to.

It didn’t need a full makeover. Just clarity, comfort and cohesion.

🎄 12 Days of Interiors — Day 5

Furniture Rental | Retirement Home Staging

A client I had previously staged a property for got back in touch when a family member’s retirement home simply wasn’t selling.

Staging a retirement property requires a very different approach. Every home is styled to suit its setting, purpose and buyer, and for an over-60s market the furniture needs to feel calm, comfortable and reassuring, whilst still helping buyers visualise it as their future home.

For this project, we rented a small selection of furniture to bring the space together and add those final finishing touches.

The pieces were chosen because they:
✨ worked with the style of the home
✨ felt welcoming and practical
✨ suited the setting without feeling generic or dated

The property quickly sold, making this another successful result.
