It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the Botanicals workbench… 🌲

I’ve been quietly working away on something a little bit special for you all… and this is a little sneak peek of what’s to come.

This festive hanging basket is very much a work in progress — but oh my goodness, I am already in love with how it’s coming together. Rich winter greens, pops of festive red, soft whites, and those beautiful trailing ribbons… it feels like Christmas at Thrift Wood 💚

I’m dreaming up a brand new Christmas workshop where you’ll be able to create something just like this for your own home (or to gift to someone very special). Something unique, something handcrafted, and something that will last year after year.

As always, it will be relaxed, creative, and full of festive cheer… with plenty of laughs along the way ✨ I am thinking of hosting the workshops for the baskets in November, to give you plenty of time to enjoy it.

It’s always a little bit exciting when a big box arrives at Botanicals Headquarters… especially when I know it’s filled with the most beautiful silk flowers.

There’s something about opening it all up, seeing the colours, the textures, and all the possibilities, that just gets my creative mind going.

I can already tell this one is going to lead to some really lovely creations. I’ll share what I make with you very soon

There’s something quite magical about a 5am start… especially when it looks like this.

It has been an incredibly long week bringing this wedding together — early mornings, late nights, and every spare moment in between — but standing back once it was all set up made every second worth it.

Seeing the boys’ faces when they arrived and truly loving everything the Botanical team had created… that’s the moment that makes it all so special.

I honestly couldn’t be prouder of what we pulled together.

A massive thank you to everyone who helped make it happen, I am so blessed to have such an amazing Cerus Botanical Designs Floral Artistry team, that I can call upon.

There is just something so powerful about a beautifully tied ribbon…

For me, this bow isn’t just a finishing touch — it’s the heart of the tribute. Softly folded, carefully shaped, and placed with intention, it brings everything together in the most graceful way.

I always say bows don’t get enough love… because look at it. The flowing loops, the way the tails gently fall — it almost feels like a soft, comforting embrace wrapped around the silk flowers.

And this rich purple
A colour that speaks of dignity, honour, and deep, everlasting love. It brings such a beautiful softness and tenderness… the kind of detail that quietly draws your eye and holds a moment of reflection.

When I’m creating, I never just “add a bow” — I take time to shape it, place it, and style it with just as much care as the flowers themselves.

Because for me, it’s never just decorative…
It’s symbolic. It holds the care, the time, and the love that goes into every single tribute.
