Dawn Rose Art

Dawn Rose Art Unique hand painted artwork. Abstract Art - Fluid Art - Cloudscapes I create beautiful, unique artworks on canvas using a variety of different media.

Most often working in acrylic paints or alcohol inks but on occasion I also work with watercolour paints and most recently I have started crafting with air dry clay. All artworks are finished with high gloss varnish with the exception of my alcohol ink pieces which are coated in a shiny layer of resin. I have a varied style of working but abstract pieces are my favourite to create as they can be m

uch more freeing. All artworks are carefully packaged when getting ready to ship in order to ensure they are well protected during the delivery process. I recycle as many packaging supplies as I possibly can and often make my own boxes out of other boxes I have saved from any of my own packages. I do take on commissions just message or email to book a slot. Obviously they do take time to complete and depending on the complexity of the order depends on the time frame but all of this will be discussed along with details pertaining to the piece itself upon booking. If your commission has a specific deadline please try to book early as if I feel I would not have the appropriate time to complete your order, your commission may be turned down.

Hi everyone,

Sorry its been a while, life has been in the way and I've had no time for art while being back at uni.

That being said, and I know this is a bit last minute, but I'm going to have a stall next Saturday (15th), 10-4 at the Antiques vintage and art market, at Padiham Town Hall. I'll be selling some of my art so if you're free why not come down and have a look 😊

Hope to see you there.

✨ONE WEEK TO GO✨

As you may have seen in my stories recently, I'm going to be doing my first art fair.

I've wanted to do one for a while but I am usually always working on the days they fall on. However, I have finally got a day off on the same day as one so it has worked out perfectly.

If you are local to Padiham why not come down to support some local artists, all info is in the poster above.

Hope to see you there!

Hi everyone,

As I mentioned in my previous post, I'm doing my first art fair on Sunday 6th October.

For anyone that may want to come along it's on from 10am till 4pm, in the grand hall, at the Unitarian church in Padiham. The address for the church is 93 Church Street, BB12 8JH, just incase you aren't too familiar with Padiham.

If you can make it then why not come along to support some local artists 😊

Hope to see you there,
Dawn πŸ’œ

Hi everyone,

Sorry I know it's been a while since I have been present on here but the last year has been busy, and honestly I needed some time over the summer just to recharge before I go back to uni in October.

If you haven't seen my stories, I'm finally going to be doing my first art fair 😁

I've wanted to do one for a while but it has just not been possible for one one reason or another, although the main reason is usually that I have working on the day.

But, I'm excited to be doing it, a little nervous and not sure what to expect but I'm sure it will be a fun day.

I'll share more details soon but if anyone has done a fair or a stall somewhere before, any tips and tricks would be greatly appreciated but hopefully it will all go smoothly.

Have a great week,
Dawn πŸ’œ

Do you like vibrant, colourful artwork or do you prefer more muted tones?

For me I think it depends on the style of the work and the room you intend to display the art in.
I do love a bright colourful piece of art, perhaps that's why most of my work is so colourful. However, I do like a nice muted colour palette too, I feel that they bring calmness to a room.

I think this piece would work perfectly in a neutral room and add a whimsical pop of colour with its rainbow palette. What do you think? Let me know in the comments.

I usually have plenty to talk about when I post but today for some reason, I just can't string anything much together.

The last few months have honestly been exhausting though so before I fully get back to painting I have been taking a little time for myself. Hoping to start painting more regularly again from next week so should be back to more regular posting soon too.

For now here are couple of close up shots from 'Path of Eruption', my current work in progress, which is inspired by channels of lava πŸŒ‹

This is my first piece of many experimenting with new ideas and inspiration from the beauty, power and ferocity that are volcanoes.
