I’m really excited to share that I’ll be participating in an exhibition at the World of Glass Museum in St Helens with the Contemporary Glass Society (CGS). The exhibition, “It’s All in the Technique,” runs from March 14th to April 11th, 2026, and I’m delighted that two of my glass mosaic works have been selected.
Both pieces are created entirely from hand-cut glass pieces using Seabell glass nippers.
One of the works explores an underwater world and is titled “Hope – The Living Underwater World.” (I know… it’s a bit of a long title — naming pieces has never been my strongest skill! 😁)
The mosaic reveals a dark aquamarine underwater scene where life quietly thrives beneath the surface. There’s something magical about the depths — sometimes we just need the courage to go there. Through stained glass, I wanted to capture a sense of mystery, resilience, and unexpected beauty. Even in darkness and pressure, life continues to grow — delicate yet defiant. As light catches the glass, it reflects how hope can find its way even through the deepest waters.
My second selected work is a 30 × 30 cm glass mosaic titled “She Blossomed in Her Own Time.” Inspired by the breathtaking waterlily bloom of Malarickal in Kerala, India, the piece reflects themes of strength, patience, and the beauty of growing at your own pace.
Rows of vibrant pink waterlilies rise from the water, surrounded by lush greenery, turning the landscape into a quiet metaphor for human potential. Just like the lilies, sometimes growth happens silently beneath the surface — until the moment arrives to bloom in full beauty.
