No Art classroom should have to look like this, but here we are…
Hello. I’m back!
I’ve been quiet on here lately. Two weeks ago I said farewell to my Art classroom. My professional base for 9yrs. This was not through choice! This was through a whole school closure decided by the local council. Effecting the whole community, not just Art education!
From starting there in a busy, creative Art department with a fabulous team to now just an empty shell! I am not going to rant, enough of my emotional strength has been drained from me over the last few years while working through this process. Putting on the game face for my students, colleagues, friends and family, somedays better than others. Physically clearing and emptying my Art room, then stripping the walls bare was absolutely the worst part! As every teacher knows, it’s not just a job.
So many memories made here, life experiences had and learning journeys completed, but I am taking all the positives with me and as one chapter closes in life, another begins….. 🌱
