Release day is here!

Get the Teloujay 4.0 mini bucket bag now!
This is the 4th addition in our Teloujay series. A series of discounted bag patterns for ambitious beginners. Each bag in the series is completely different, giving everyone a different style to try.
For this one I’ll show you a drop in lining method that’s easier and neater 🙌🏼

This mini bucket bag is pretty cute and features a drawstring closure. It’s a drop-in lining and it comes together really quickly. I hope you enjoy making it as much as I do!

Get the pattern on our website or comment “WANT” and we’ll send the link straight to you 🤩
The tutorial video for this bag is in partnership with they filmed me over in their studio, and you’ll find the tutorial on their YouTube channel 😃

This one was made by Andrea Kakes Kreations she made this one in vinyl on the exterior and tula pink for the interior.

Have one you love? One you hate?

Or maybe the right method could make it easier.
Our new pattern being released this Monday has a drop in lining. I’ll show you my method to make it neater and easier 👌🏽

Avoid using an iron straight on to waxed canvas or oilskin as direct heat will melt the wax, leaving your iron messy and your fabric will no longer have its waterproof finish.

Some like to iron on their fusible interfacing by using a protective layer like a Teflon sheet.
To minimise the risk I prefer to sew in the interfacing when working with these fabrics.
Just because it’s fusible, doesn’t mean you can’t sew it in when you need to 😊

How do you add your interfacing to waxed canvas and oilskin? Share your tips in the comments!

We’ve tried lots of different stabilisers and found the best ones so you don’t have to.
You can watch the full video about the best stabilisers to use in bag making on our YouTube channel or comment “WATCH” and we’ll send the link straight to you.

For this stabiliser comment “BOUNCY” for the link.

Little scraps of stabiliser? Blunt needles? Bobbins? Those little tiny scissors you never use?
All the things you’ve never needed but keep just in case?

What’s in your drawer? And can you even open it? 😅

If you could go back to the beginning of your bag-making journey, what would you do differently?

Would you….

Read the instructions BEFORE starting?
Measure twice instead of once?
Opened up a separate bank account for fabric and hardware? 😅

Or something completely different??

What’s something another bag maker taught you that’ll never forget?

I’ll go first…

Using a zip foot and stabiliser to create a perfect curve on a flap.

I’ve never forgotten it and it’s a tip I still use regularly! 😃
